Over the past 6 years Riverside has taken an increasing focus on making the City become more sustainable in operations and within the community. During this period of time it became apparent that there were numerous organizations located within Riverside that are working on a green or sustainable program of their own ranging from neighborhood development to watershed protection. During our daily interactions with the various groups it also became apparent that each organization faces numerous challenges and may benefit from another group’s expertise or experience. This is why we created the Green Leadership Summit, to organize a network of likeminded individuals to further advance their causes, provide resources and expertise to one another.
